Richard Messik explains his e-conomic experience

by Dennis Howlett on October 5, 2009

Richard Messik, who manages Vantis’ outsourcing activities is one of the SaaS accounting pioneers and last week we spoke about his use of e-conomic. During this wide ranging conversation, Richard explains why his firm prefers e-conomic and how they are ramping to bring on 200 clients before the year’s end. We also talk about SaaS economics, the differences between services like e-conomic and others along with industry pricing issues. Richard particularly likes that e-conomic allows him to configure a single tab that clients use for recording sales while his firm’s users have a more complete view and can help complete the accounts. He also likes that e-conomic wrote an interface to Viztopia, the firm’s preferred accounts preparation solution. This makes it a relatively easy matter for Vantis to go from client records to final accounts in a format that allows them to take advantage of the strengths of each system. Richard’s assessment is forthright and a valuable addition for practitioners considering SaaS solutions. Listen and enjoy the 11 minute 36 sec extract from that conversation.
