Am I evil?

by Dennis Howlett on July 19, 2006

Zoli Erdos throws out an interesting challenge. By combining a Fog index and something I can’t pronounce without tripping over the consonants but called the: Gematriculator, it’s possible to asses how dense your stuff is and then sort of relate it to how evil you are. Hmm. My score:

Fog: 10.06 – puts me on a par with NewsWeek

Evil: 17%

I’m not sure there is a correlation along the lines Zoli suggests:

SAP main site

Fog: 13.04 – almost up there with the Times

Evil: 8%

Oracle

Fog: 14.07 – up there with the Times

Evil: 28%

Sage

Fog: 11.2 – NewsWeek

Evil: 43%

Zoli doesn’t believe in pseudo-science and neither do I but if he gets enough responses, he can put his ex-SAP hat on, talk to Vinnie about putting this through some sort of Magic Quadrant meat grinder and come out with something that reflects the correlation between the two – with the usual 0.8 certainty disclaimer. Or use a dart board.

We can of course take this one step further: SAP advertising take note :)

“Be a saint, rely on SAP”

Sage? Got some work to do there methinks :)

  • Dennis, I've actually tried to solicit more data to see if there is any correlation between the Readability and Evil tests, but haven't received enough input ... as you can see it really all started with your previous Readability post:-)

And for some more "evil" stats, see this  - take not of who has the highest evil score :-)
