I received an email from the US and I’m wondering if any readers are able to help – here’s the text:
My name’s David Brazeal, and I work for what you could call an “old media” company — in the network radio business. But I’m part of a new division that’s aimed at helping some of our broadcast clients (and other potential clients) reach more specific, niche audiences with new media outlets like blogs and podcasts. I came across your blog as I searched Technorati for “accounting” blogs — and I’m wondering whether you know of any good accounting podcasts (speaking to consumers)? I ask because I’ve talked to a few people about a short series of podcasts addressing tax-prep questions, with the U.S. tax-filing deadline approaching, and I can’t find any examples.
Ideally, I think a state Revenue Department would be a great source for these, but accounting firms ought to be doing this, too. I’m sure someone is doing it, so I’m wondering if you’ve seen it?
Let me know and i’ll forward replies. Which got me thinking – how about Budget commentary on podcast? Or what about providing advice for our kind of folk at year end? Gotta be a good idea.
